Chris Pine To Play Jack Ryan In Upcoming Tom Clancy Film
Well, I’m going. I’d see any film with Chris Pine. Hell, I’d watch that man make toast.
He’s got the moves, though with these looks…could we see our first non-English Bond? Ok, so it’s not likely, but damn, the man looks good in a suit.
Jack Ryan, who I guess you could call the American Bond, has been portrayed by Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford, and more recently, Ben Affleck. Not technically a spy, Ryan is actually a “intelligence analyst” a very American term for…actually I’m not sure what Jack Ryan does, but scowling seems to be a big part of it. And have you seen Mr. Pine’s scowl? Shyeah. I’ll take two, thanks.
No word on when the film is set to debut, but I’d not be surprised if another Star Trek is in the can before Paramount turns to another franchise.
